Like many Westerners, Mimi was setting off on an adventure to learn from the
modern day masters.
What stands Mimi apart from the well-toned and
muscular seekers of self-discovery; several surgically fused vertebrae and a
steel rod running up her spine to start, the result of an operation she
underwent at 16 after being diagnosed with scoliosis.
